I now live in the northern Pennines in the UK after spending five years in the Austrian Alps . I mainly compose musicals and rock operas. I usually do both the lyrics and the music. Life is very busy as we have three sons to look after. All like to help me sort out my music and play the piano. But I am gradually getting back to composing.
At the moment I am completing Anna's Story which will hopefully be ready for a performance next year. I am looking to do a workshop performance in 2012 of some of the songs and if any schools are interested please get in touch. ( The rock opera is aimed at pupils aged 14 to 18). The piano score for the first 2 scenes have been added to the site and others will follow shortly.
I am also working on the musical Butter-Finger written by Bob Cattell ( A well known author who writes childrens sports stories) and John Agard ( Also a well known Playwright, poet, short-story and children's writer). The book was published in March 2006 by Frances Lincoln and is available in all good bookshops ( including Amazon). If any school would like to do a production please get in contact. The piano score some of the songs are on the site now and further ones will be added in due course. The book is set in the Caribbean islands and so the music reflect the styles that are found in this area especially Calypso.
I have also started to add some of the songs from my first rock opera ' The Five Boons of Life' based on a short story by Mark Twain. It has some mp3 files which were recorded in a professional studio. If any school or college would like to perform this work please get in touch.
Please keep checking back- any feed-back or reviews will be gratefully received.( either via e-mail or on this site)
I have recently edited and arranged music for Chester music for the Making the Grade Keyboard Grade 1 book.I hopefully will start work on the other grades later this year. You can get the book here-amazon ( as well as music shops and other on-line sites):-
