Pierre kolp

Born in Koln (Germany) in 1969, living in Brussels (Belgium) since 1994, Founder and Member of Black Jackets Company (International Contemporary Arts Society). He won compositions prizes in Belgium, Germany and in European Contests.

Bridges, Between and Off/Out are Kolp's investigations keywords. Working with movie, stage-installation, theatre, danse, electronics and acoustic instruments, his compositions develop limits-theory between sound and performance. His work is built to be performed as political game with rules inside time and space obligations and combinaisons, with strategy of new ways to manage materials and sounds.

Presently, Pierre Kolp is Director of Dalcroze Institute (Belgium) and President of Belgium Musicschools Union (French District).
