Hello! I live near Plymouth in the Uk and educated at Plymouth College. I've just graduated from Durham University with a degree in History. I hold ABRSM grade 8 trumpet and play in a jazz band under Mike Westbrook and have played with the Lupbridge Singers. While at school I have played as principal trumet in the school orchestra, wind band and brass ensemble. I also hold a Licentiate diploma from the North & Midlands School of Music and ABRSM grade 8 for voice and sing several local choirs. I currently sing with the Northern Spirit Singers and several other groups in Durham
I was introduced to composition at GCSE and since then there has been no looking back!! Therefore several pieces such as "Air for Strings" was written as coursework for GCSE and A level.
Although I've composed music for smaller groups, I particularly enjoy writing for orchestra, especially film music, which I have come to through A level music.
In the last year I have entered the Cathcart Young Composer of the Year Competition, for which I had to write an orchestral work dedicated to the late Queen Mother (This can be found with my other pieces entitled "Remembrance: A Tribute to the Queen Mother")
If anyone has any advice for any of my pieces please, please e-mail me - I am always pleased for feed back and advice. I hope you enjoy listening to these pieces as much as I have writing them!
