Ian Thomas

Ian is a former Cathedral Chorister at Chester Cathedral under Roger Fisher undertaking a number of BBC Radio broadcasts and daily services. Ian won an organ scholarship to Durham University where is read music, this was followed by postgraduate studies at Liverpool University. Ian is a Fellow of the Academy of St. Cecilia (FASC), holds a LLCM diploma, a member of the National Music Education Council and won the 2008 Chester Competitive Music Festival Composition class with his anthem 'View Me Lord'.

Ian has given a number of organ recitals and choral concerts and is a former Organist and Choirmaster at St. Alkmund's Church, Whitchurch in Shropshire, where for nearly five years he conducted the choir which gave five premiers of new choral works, weekly choral services and was a member of Sir Edward German Music Festival committee.
