This is a very effective anthem for Lent, Holy Week, or any Communion Service combining two shorter works, an austere Palistrina motet and Sir John Goss's familiar "O Savior of the World. The English words from the traditional Anglican prayer for visitation of the sick are substituted for Palistrina's "Adoramus Te" text and Goss's orginal key is moved up a half step to A major. In addition, suggestions for dynamics are included as is an enriched organ accompaniment. Especially stunning if the choir can sing the first 34 measures unaccompanied. Price includes authorization to make sufficient number of copies for your choir.
