As a ministry song it's particularly effective, because in between verses you can guide the gathered assembly to bring to mind who is being prayed for. For example before the second verse, you could have the people ask Mother Mary to pray for a group of people, like the unborn, the elderly or victims of a natural disaster. For verses 3 and 4, have the people bring to mind a special person in their lives (him, then her) that need special intercession.
Also if it happens to be the feast day of another Saint, feel free to abridge it. For example, Saint Theresa pray for us, or Saint Alphonsus, pray for us, etc.
