This is the largest instrumental work I have written to date and was composed for a friend in my first year at the Royal College of Music. It is in 4 movements, the 1st incorporating a Bach chorale with the name of the work's dedicatee super-imposed on top, and the 3rd being a paraphrase on the plainchant melody Dies irae. The work is as yet unplayed with and both piano and cello parts being titanic, the latter of which may have some un-playable passages! I would be very interested to hear from anyone who takes it on! There are also versions of the solo part for flute and violin. Please contact me for details.
