This is a piece that I wrote for my Eagle Scout Project. One of my fiddler friends plays a piece which sounds similar to this, so I played around on my Violin and wrote this one afternoon. It is a March, in the style of a scottish strathspey, hence the Scots Snap (i.e. Reverse Dotted Rhythm) used often. There are two versions, one without ornaments and one with Double-Stop Ornaments. Feel free to change the ornaments around to suit your style. This is Celtic Music, there is not just one way to play it. To do the Double Note, use 4th finger on D string and open A at the same time. If you don't like the high notes, transpose it to A, starting 1st Finger on the D-String, and make ornaments appropiately. Enjoy! (I will try to get an MP3 of me playing this online soon)
