Suzanne is a most talented performer, and is able to sing in any style of music with equal success, and with such a wonderfully down-to-earth and easy-going delivery - see attached picture, taken from their latest CD.
Suzanne, who is also a good friend, recently asked me, ’whether I had a duet for her 16-year-old daughter, Lydia, to play with the Doctor’, at Suzanne’s annual Christmas concert.
I had recently played my own Christmas Mix ’n Match! in a piano duet version in a recital with Clive Jenkins at Plymouth City Museum & Art Gallery, last December, so immediately thought of this!
Just to give it a little ’spruce up’, I added my dear late Mum’s favourite, Holst’s ’In the Bleak Midwinter’ just before the final section, which seems to make for a better balance.
Hopefully Lydia and Anthony will be including it this December!
