"Melancholy" For Solo Piano - Intermediate (7 pages -4 mins 30)
A piano piece entitled "Melancholy" is a reflective piece. It has minimalist qualities and the style suggests it could be used as underscore for film music.
Written in D minor there are 3 distinct themes. The idea was to keep it modal and fairly simple. The left hand is mainly quavers throughout and there are no big stretches or big leaps.
