I began playing the organ by ear at the age of 4. At 12 I had access to my first piano, and was self teaching until I was 16. I attended the University of Georgia for 2 years as a piano major. I dropped out to begin playing around Atlanta as an accompanist to singers and pianist/leader for many many cabaret shows. Today I play in pit orchestras, pops orchestras, arrange and orchestrate for local vocalists, sometimes conduct and do music direction. I have been a soloist in front of a few orchestras. I enjoy music of all types and am currently studying jazz piano again. Transcribing piano music for larger ensembles, and transcribing orchestral music down to two pianos is a special interest to me. I am currently working on 10 more transcriptions for two pianos from well known orchestral war horses, all energetic and driving works.
