My teaching career was spent with Junior age children in the UK. I wrote the songs for the children I was teaching: the ones here all grew from a need for a song for a show or for worship. All my songs are easy to learn - they are instantly accessible to youngsters. They have all been sung and performed enthusiastically by hundreds of children. I wrote the songs for all the children to sing, not a hand-picked choir. There are three sets of linked songs. One group (starting with 'Don't tip it in the bin') forms a musical, a 'Green Show', where each song carries a message encouraging people to look after our world. The second group, including 'Hallelujah! Christ is born today' covers the story of the Nativity. The third group, starting with 'Step into my spaceship', forms a space musical, 'Zoom'
