Nando Florestan

Nando Florestan is a Brazilian composer of classical music (and dramatic music for media).

He became interested in music when he watched "E. T. - The Extra-Terrestrial" at the age of 6. He studied composition under Osvaldo Lacerda, a prestigious teacher from São Paulo. Later he also studied composition at Universidade de São Paulo.

Mr. Florestan is interested in traditional instruments as well as electronic ones. As a pianist and computer programmer, he uses technology easily and knows how to program synthesizers.

When underscoring film and games, he is good at capturing very specific atmospheres and moods, creating detailed music that couldn't easily be adapted to other circumstances.
