The narration combines a line from the second verse together with a quotation from Robert Southwell's poem "New Prince, New Pomp". It is a rewrite of an anthem I composed in the 1990's, and premiered with the operatic tenor Barry McCauley. I changed it to a lower key so that singers (like me)who have a lower range could sing it. It ends with an optional high G#. The solo should be sung with much expression, and the refrains with great joy and enthusiasm.
