Some time ago a friend asked me to make a little demo for a fan film, featuring some kind of march for the bad guys. Since this film played in the Star Wars universe, it's obvious who the bad guys are. I used the opportunity to combine my learning of Sibelius (this is the 2nd score I made with it) with another thing I wanted to do for a long time: Throwing orchestral masses at the audience for extended amounts of time without getting boring (insert smile here)…. So this is some kind of suite, featuring one main melody and multiple variations of it. Later a second melody is introduced, but it returns to the first one very soon. Please note that the "kid-in-the-candyshop"-syndrome is very strong in this piece of music - nearly everyone wants to try all the neat functions, being new to Sibelius….
Update: Thanks for giving me 200 views! Please note that this piece is merely meant as a test for the themes. Thus it is the worst of my published pieces, but still gets the most hits. Strange… But please listen to my other pieces too. I really can write some decent music!!
