Second string quartet by Jordi Vives i Batlle, started in Bergen (June 2008) and completed in Dublin (April 2009). With thanks to Pat Ross-Ross and Mike Cutler for useful advice on fugue (though I am solely to blame for all the mistakes).
I am allowing the piece to be transposed upwards a major second for ease of playing, so that it begins in B minor and it ends in D major. If this option is desired, then please note the following optional changes to the cello part. In the last beat of 115 and first beat of 116 please change E Eb - (tie) - Eb E to F Db - (tie) - Db Eb. In addition, bars 152 153: Change Db3 Eb3 F3 (rest) Db3 C3 Ab2 to Db2 Eb2 F2 (rest) Db2 Db2 C2.
