The second movement of Raison D'Etre, this one moving to Amaj. Originally an excerpt from a solo guitar suite, it always had the feeling of belonging to other instrumentation. With string quartet and voice, it all fell simply into place. Because of the separated, 3-note melodic phrases, I had to write a lyric to suit, as no standard text would scan this metre. A good thing in the end, as the emotional and mental intentions expressed are the true completion for the earlier movement.
