This short, bright piece in D Major for primary school string orchestra was first performed at the WA Schools Orchestra Festival in Perth, Western Australia, in 2016. It is in the form of a short classical overture, such as Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro Overture, in which there are two themes. The music is repeated, with some minor differences, and ends with a short coda at Letter D. A Violin 3 part is included so it can be used by a group that does not have viola players.
