Part of a long-term project to arrange the entire Mahler cycle, all 11 symphonic works, to only two pianos on four hands.

This is my version of the third of five movements, the Scherzo, from Mahler's Seventh Symphony. This is not simply a transcription of the orchestral score onto four staves, like Mahler's incipient sketches. This is a reimagining of the orchestral language in the context of a piano duet, and an opportunity to be realized by less costly ensembles.

Thank you, and I hope you enjoy.
