In ScoreExchange a few settings are given: Claude Debussy (Il pleure dans mon coeur), Gabriel Fauré (Spleen), Frederick Delius (Regenlied) and Alain Jacques (Il pleure dans mon cœur). This setting by Nicolas Sokolov was given with the French lyrics and a Russian rendition . Literal translation (AJ): "It weeps in my heart As the rain falls on the town. What is this languor That pervades my heart?
Oh the patter of the rain On the ground and the roofs! For a heart disheartened Oh the song of the rain!
It weeps without cause In this bored heart. What! No betrayal? There’s no reason for this grief.
Truly the worst pain Is not knowing why, Without love or hatred, My heart feels so much pain."
