The Six Pieces for Solo Violin was composed over a period of about one year from the summer of 1994 to the summer of 1995. I would write one or two of the pieces in the span of a few hours and then set them aside. Eventaully I had six short pieces and decided to publish one work as a complete set - each with different moods and impressions. They are fairly personal statements and, with the exception of two of the earlier ones (Lullabye and Stars), have not been performed completely as of yet.
