Richard Viglucci

Dr. Richard Viglucci is a graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, having completed his DMA in 2017. Dr. Viglucci also holds degrees from Northern Arizona University (MMus Conducting), Northwestern University (MMus Clarinet), and SUNY Potsdam (BM).

His doctoral document, "A Comparative Study of Nineteenth-Century Works for Clarinet Based on Motives from the Operas of Gaetano Donizetti," focuses on virtuosic opera fantasies written by the likes of Luigi Bassi, Ernesto Cavallini, Kyacinthe Klose, Domenico Liverani, and many others. Most all these works have fallen out of current performance repertoire and are out of print; however Dr. Viglucci is currently working on modern editions.
