Daniel Vives-Lynch
I was born in West-Cumbria near the Lake District in 2000 and I am of Irish and Catalan descent. I am a currently a university student of music and history studying in Dublin in the Republic of Ireland.
I have been composing for around 12 years since I was a child across an increasing range of different compositional styles from classical to modern atonality, and electro-acoustic composition while inventing and discovering own personal style.
My favourite composers are Arnold Schoenberg, Steve Reich, and J.S Bach. I am very interested in combining fugal and contrapuntal techniques with atonal harmonic settings. I also dabble in electronic amplification and affectation of acoustic music. Furthermore, I am very interested in mathematical and scientific expressions of musical creativity. I seek to infuse my compositions with a structurally Taoist framework combining the principles of Apollonian and Dionysian stylisms (order and chaos) throughout their physical and metaphysical construction.
My father Jordi Vives-Batlle also has his original compositions in this website.
