John McDonald

John is a BMus graduate of Queen's University, Belfast. John currently works outside of music but sings in the Priory Singers of Belfast which specialises in the Choral Evensong repertoire. From 1993 until its demise in 1999, John sang in a choir called the Gryphon Consort, which also specialised in the Choral Evensong repertoire. John's top musical interests include Baroque music (on period instruments), Neoclassical music, Mahler, English Pastoral music, brass band "art" repertoire (as a former euphonium and baritone player), unusual instruments, organ music and cathedral/collegiate/chamber-style choral music. Non-musical interests include photography (especially architectural), museums and galleries, tv dramas and documentaries, and interesting food :-)
